Welcome to Amplify Texas Tutoring!

Amplify presents this support website, where tutors, teachers, school leaders, district leaders and Education Service Centers (ESCs) can find information about initial and ongoing training and support structures for tutoring programs during the 2024–25 school year.

Amplify Tutoring is a proven, research-backed, high-impact tutoring solution that helps K–6 students become confident, proficient readers. Our high-quality tutoring materials include Amplify’s research-backed mCLASS® Intervention program and gold-standard assessment, mCLASS Texas. With Amplify Tutoring, students are more likely to make outsized gains and narrow skills gaps compared to national norms and peers not in Amplify Tutoring.

Impact in Texas

After one semester of participating in Amplify Tutoring, 50% of students who started the Spring semester at Well Below Benchmark made above average growth or better when they received 5 or more Amplify Tutoring lesson sets. When students did not receive Amplify Tutoring lesson sets, only 38% of students who started at MOY Well Below Benchmark made the same above average growth.

About Amplify Tutoring

Amplify Tutoring provides ESSER aligned, high-impact tutoring programs to complement the efforts of K–6 students, educators, and families in building reading proficiency and confidence.

Anchored in mCLASS TX Edition and mCLASS Intervention, these tutoring materials complement the Amplify materials that educators currently use and trust through the Texas Home Learning (THL) initiative to instruct hundreds of thousands of students across the state of Texas. Amplify Tutoring provides classroom teachers and tutors access to the same student data, including visibility into all tutoring lessons.

Tutors are able to use the mCLASS Intervention curricula to seamlessly support either in-person or remote tutoring. All materials are adaptive and data-driven, based on initial data collected by teachers or tutors in mCLASS TX Edition and progress monitoring administered by tutors to individualize student supports. Amplify’s tutoring program provides Texas tutors with complimentary, high-quality, comprehensive professional development. Tutors are trained in pedagogical best practices, engagement strategies to build strong relationships with students, and using Amplify Tutoring materials to support student growth.
